A Timeless Summer Wedding at Current NYC

Nikki and Dean said "I do!" against the stunning backdrop of New York City this summer. From getting ready at the Maritime Hotel to a lively reception at Current, part of the Pier Sixty Collection, their day was filled with love and elegance.

Their day began at the Maritime Hotel, where Nikki and Dean prepared for their big day surrounded by close friends and family. The hotel’s nautical-inspired decor added such a fun touch to the morning, with its porthole windows offering views of the city and a sense of calm before the day truly began.

The shimmering water and the city skyline surrounding Chelsea Piers provided such a lovely backdrop for couples' portraits. We eventually took a short walk to Pier 57, where we took photos against Pier 57 and Little Island. The industrial-chic aesthetic of the pier contrasted with the flow of the river created such a unique juxtaposition.

As guests entered the ceremony and reception space at Current, they were greeted by a ton of natural light and cool, wavy ceilings. Intricate candle centerpieces decorated each table and the candlelight created such a warm and intimate setting, perfectly suited for the evening’s celebrations.

One of my favorite elements of the reception was the live watercolor painter, who captured the guests and their carefully selected outfits in real-time. Everyone was fascinated by the artist’s ability to transform the moments into delicate works of art, adding a personal touch to the night.

Nikki and Dean’s wedding at Current was a celebration of their love and the life they’ve built together. From their morning at the Maritime Hotel to the reception filled with candlelight and artistry, every detail was thoughtfully planned and perfectly executed.
